اب یہ بھی نہیں ٹھیک کہ ہر درد مٹا دیں
کچھ درد کلیجے سے لگانے کے لیے ہیں
Ab ye bhi nahin theek ki har dard mita dein
kuchh dard kaleje se lagane ke liye hain
آج تو دل کے درد پر ہنس کر
درد کا دل دکھا دیا میں نے
Aaj to dil ke dard par hans kar
Dard ka dil dukha diya main ne
خنجر چلے کسی پہ تڑپتے ہیں ہم ‘امیر’
سارے جہان کا درد ہمارے جگر میں ہے
khanjar chale kisi pe taDapte hain hum ‘amir’
Saare jahaan ka dard hamare jigar mein hai
ختم اپنا درد کر جاؤں
جی کرتا ہے آج مر جاؤں
khatam apna dard kar jaun
jee karta hai aj mar jaun
دوستوں کو بھی ملے درد کی دولت یا رب
میرا اپنا ہی بھلا ہو مجھے منظور نہیں
Doston ko bhi mile dard ki daulat ya Rab
Mera apna hi bhala ho mujhe manzoor nahin
اب تو خوشی کا غم ہے نہ غم کی خوشی مجھے
بے حس بنا چکی ہے بہت زندگی مجھے
Ab to khushi ka gham hai na gham ki khushi mujhe
Be-his bana chuki hai bahut zindagi mujhe
عشق سے طبیعت نے زندگی کا مزہ پایا
درد کی دوا پائی دردِ بے دوا پایا
Ishq se tabiyat ne zindagi ka maza paya
Dard ki dawa payi dard-e-bedawa paya
بے نام سا یہ درد ٹھہر کیوں نہیں جاتا
جو بیت گیا ہے وہ گزر کیوں نہیں جاتا
Be-naam sa ye dard thahar kyun nahin jaata
Jo beet gaya hai wo guzar kyun nahin jaata
