دعائیں یاد کرا دی گئی تھیں بچپن میں
سو زخم کھاتے رہے اور دعا دیے گئے ہم۔
Duaeñ yaad kara di gayi thiin bachpan mein,
So zakhm khaate rahe aur dua diye gae ham.
ہزار بار جو مانگا کرو تو کیا حاصل،
دعا وہی ہے جو دل سے کبھی نکلتی نہیں۔
الفتِ یار میں خدا سے اور مانگوں کیا،
یہ دعا ہے کہ تو دعاؤں کا بھی محتاج نہ ہو۔
Hazaar baar jo maanga karo toh kya haasil,
Dua wahi hai jo dil se kabhi nikalti nahi.
Ulfat-e-yaar mein Khuda se aur maangun kya,
Yeh dua hai ke tu duaon ka bhi mohtaaj na ho
ابھی زندہ ہے ماں میری مجھے کچھ بھی نہیں ہوگا
میں گھر سے جب نکلتا ہوں دعاء بھی ساتھ چلتی ہے
Abhī zinda hai maañ merī mujhe kuchh bhī nahīñ hogā
Maiñ ghar se jab nikaltā huuñ duā bhī saath chaltī hai
چاند نکلے گا تو لوگ دعا مانگیں گے
,ہم بھی اپنے مقدر کا لکھا مانگیں گے
ہم طلبگار نہیں دنیا کی دولت کے
ہم رب سے صرف آپ کی وفا مانگیں گے۔
Chaand niklega toh log duaa maagenge,
Hum bhi apne mukaddar ka likha maagenge,
Hum talabgaar nahi duniya ki daulat ke,
Hum Rab se sirf aapki wafaa maagenge.
عاء کو ہاتھ اُٹھاتے ہوئے لرزتا ہوں کبھی
دعاء نہیں مانگی تھی ماں کے ہوتے ہوئے
Duā ko haath uThāte hue laraztā huuñ kabhī
Duā nahīñ māñgī thī maañ ke hote hue
مانگی تھی ایک بار دعا ہم نے موت کی
شرمندہ آج تک ہیں میاں زندگی سے ہم۔
Māngī thī ek bār duā ham ne maut kī,
Sharminda aaj tak haiñ miyāñ zindagī se ham.
